Only thing I can advice you;
Harass slayers from the very begnning until it's too late.
People quite often misunderstand a fact, that Vampire do actually FEED humans by not killing slayers. You feed them with gold! Harass will provide you with extra gold, experience, wood, and most important, will NOT provide humans with gold.
